Rotterdam Port

Several ferry services operate between the Rotterdam area and Great Britain, the main one being probably P&O. The city is popular port of call for cruise liners. The largest and most luxurious liners dock at the Rotterdam Cruise Terminal.
P&O North Sea Ferries' luxury cruise ferries Pride of Rotterdam and Pride of Hull travel to and from Hull in the north of England.

Rotterdam is Europe’s largest logistic and industrial hub. The port of Rotterdam is situated directly on the North Sea. The very largest ocean-going vessels have unrestricted access around the clock, seven days a week. Each year, 30,000 sea-going vessels and 130,000 inland navigation vessels call at the port of Rotterdam.

The Port of Rotterdam Authority has a staff of approximately 1200 employees, with widely varying commercial, nautical and infrastructure-related responsibilities. The Port Authority is the authority that develops, manages and operates the port of Rotterdam effectively and efficiently.

As a port city, Rotterdam naturally has an extensive fleet of water taxis. As well as providing a novel means of reaching your destination, they are a great way to beat traffic jams.

Water taxi
The classic wooden vessels which pass between the Hotel New York, the Veerhaven and the Leuvehaven have become familiar part of the port scene. It is also possible to hire a water taxi for a private port tour.
Points along the River Maas are served by modern, super-fast water taxis. These are recognizable by their blue and yellow livery. Thanks to the many Waternet piers along the river, they can take you to almost any waterside destination.
